Studio Hire

ReadyMade’s studio is a multi-purpose rehearsal space suitable for the performing arts with a focus on the independent dance community and its development.

 

Located in Ultimo, it is a 15-minute walk from Central Station and can be easily accessed via the Sydney Light Rail. It features a large wooden floor, Tarkett dance floor, kitchen, full bathroom, chill out and production area. The room is light and airy with a huge balcony that has city views toward Darling Harbour.

 

ReadyMade Rehearsal Space Ultimo is made possible through the generous support of an Accommodation Grant from the City of Sydney.

Please Note

The space is NOT a place of public entertainment and is not available for private parties or live music.

​

Noise limitations: the space is located over a Child Care Centre and therefore noise must be reduced between 12pm–2pm Monday–Friday, while the children are sleeping downstairs. The space is also located in a heavily residential area so hirers and artists must respect the quiet enjoyment of the surrounding residents whilst in the space and when exiting the venue.

​

First-time users must allow 72hrs for confirmation of their initial booking as a representative from RMW will need to induct you into the space.

 

All hirers must adhere to the studio's Terms and Conditions. By proceeding with a booking you agree that you have read and understood them in full.

Our Booking Categories

​

Independent Solo Artist

One independent artist working alone in the studio and with no funding attached. Hourly rate starts at $12p/h with subsidy for half and full day rates. The weekly rate is $400 per week.

​

Independent Group

Two or more independent artists working without a budget/funding. This could be a group rehearsal, creative development or artistic exchange. Hourly rate starts at $22p/h with subsidy for half and full day rates. The weekly rate is $700 per week.

​

Class or Funded Independent

Two or more independent artists working with a budget/funding or an independent artist running a class or workshop $35p/hour - $225p/day

​

Non-independent artist activity

This is for space hire that is not related to an arts activity at all. Non-independent artist activity e.g photo shoots, forums and events, arts organisations $50p/h
