PRESSING BETWEEN NOW AND THEN
Two sides of the city ignite for DANCENDENTS, a new dance program of performances, masterclasses and events.
Bold and not one bit conventional, DANCENDENTS hosts the Sydney premiere of two remarkable dance works – Rhiannon Newton’s Assemblies for One Body and Leah Landau’s Summer Bone – alongside performance installation Drawn to Move by Flatline, at PACT centre for emerging artists. Cross to ReadyMade Works to launch the program with Dance Social curated by Matt Cornell and then get your sweat on at one or more of the masterclasses led by some of Sydney’s best dance artists. End with a dance picnic where we discuss the challenges of a creative development vortex, then stretch out and celebrate over cheese and other tasty treats.
ReadyMade Works is very excited to be part of this new program for dance in Sydney and thrilled to be working with PACT to deliver a number of great professional development opportunities and events. RMW hopes it will support, bolster and showcase the incredible work of dancers and dance makers in Sydney and beyond.
RMW Director Sam Chester
DANCENDENTS is co-produced by PACT centre for emerging artists and ReadyMade Works Inc.
